The Achievement Center will be celebrating 90 years of assisting children to reach above and beyond their therapeutic goals.
Since 1923, the center has expanded and grown to meet the needs of nearly 3,400 children annually with physical disabilities, developmental delays, emotional/behavioral problems, and autism spectrum disorders.

Definition - The Notice of Privacy Practices will explain to you how the Achievement Center will use and disclosure your protected health information, informs you about your legal rights regarding your protected health information and who to contact if you have questions or concerns regarding your protected health information.
Congratulations to Christina Colon, Behavior Specialist
Christina Colon is the Achievement Center's first Behavior Specialist to obtain the new Pennsylvania State Licensure. The Autism Insurance Act of 2009 mandated that all professionals providing Behavior Specialist services to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders under the age of 21 be licensed by the state of Pennsylvania. The licensure process began for Christina back in October 2012 and has been a lengthy and involved endeavor. Congratulations to her for being the first to successfully complete this process!

The Achievement Center was awarded a grant of $80,000 by the Erie Community Foundation to go towards the Beyond Expectation! Capital Campaign. The Campaign is raising funds for the building of the new home for the Center with a goal of $1.5 million. A reception was held on Tuesday, April 23rd for recent grant recipients of the Community Foundation. Representing the Achievement Center were Adam Bratton, Director of Development; Lisa Smith Presta, Beyond Expectation! Capital Campaign General Chair and Past President of the Center's Board of Directors; Tim Hunter, Beyond Expectation! Capital Campaign Cabinet member and member of the Board of Directors of the Erie Community Foundation.
